In celebration of 25th Anniversary of hospice services, Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care will host its first ever Gala fundraising event on Friday, August 15, 2008. Proceeds from the Gala will benefit The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home currently being constructed in Dobson. The event will bring together a variety of individuals from our entire service area, which covers 14 counties in North Carolina and Virginia, for one summer night of fabulous food, dancing, and fun!
We expect the Gala to have high involvement from the community as it will be our kick-off event prior to Woltz Hospice Home grand opening in the fall. This fundraiser will surely be our event of the year! Gala guests will be invited to participate in the masquerade theme by sporting their formal wear and costume masks for this black tie event. The sophisticated atmosphere of Cross Creek Country Club will provide the setting for our masked evening. There will be ample space for hospice supporters to celebrate the end of the week by mingling, grooving with the band, and having a grand time.
The Gala will also offer various silent auction items to help raise additional funds.
